ABOUT
Shopify Sidekick and Atomato
Sidekick is the assistant in your Shopify admin. You ask it questions in your own words, and apps can give it their own data to answer from.
Atomato gives Sidekick read-only access to your NotiFeed, NotiPop, NotiSell and NotiEmail campaigns. Sidekick can find a campaign, explain what each message says, report results, rank your best campaigns and share a link that opens the campaign in the Atomato editor. Creating, editing, pausing and ending campaigns still happens in Atomato.

WHAT SYNCS
What Sidekick can ask Atomato for
Sidekick only reads. Each row is a kind of question you can ask, what Sidekick gets back and the limits that apply.
Campaign name Status Start date End date
Search by part of a name, a type, or Active, Draft, Paused, Scheduled or Cancelled. 10 results by default and up to 20, most recently updated first, each with a link to the editor.
Title Description Call to action Button text Button link
Every message in the campaign, with its schedule. Long text is cut at 500 characters.
Feed Question Email Opt-in SMS Opt-in Success Disclosure Language Add discount
The text of each step, the order of the opt-in and Question steps, the Question step's answer options and the platform each opt-in step sends signups to.
Title Description Method Eligible products Purchase type Enable Smart sorting
Also whether there is a discount, with its type and value. The settings are read from one message only, so a campaign whose messages use different settings shows just one set.
NotiFeed NotiPop NotiSell NotiEmail
A total, a count for each status and each type, and how many of each type are Active.
Impressions Clicks Click-through rate Engagement rate
Running totals of unique impressions and clicks, not totals for the dates you name.
Submissions Emails captured SMS captured ATC
NotiEmail submissions and signups follow the dates you name, or the last 7 days. NotiSell add-to-carts are a running total.
Engagement rate Clicks Impressions
5 by default and up to 10, for the last 7 days or the dates you name. Counts every impression and click, and leaves out campaigns with no recorded data in those dates.
Impressions Clicks Click-through rate Engagement rate NotiSell revenue
Always the last 7 days in UTC, today included, compared with the 7 days before. Revenue is the total of orders created in those days that include a product added to cart from NotiSell.
Sidekick only reads. It can't create, edit, pause, end or delete a campaign, and Atomato doesn't send it Theme Launcher schedules, a message's customer segments or targeting rules, or the email addresses and phone numbers shoppers give. Answers cover only your store. Days are counted in UTC. See Ask Shopify Sidekick about your Atomato campaigns.

FAQ
Questions about Sidekick and Atomato
Short answers on what Sidekick can see, what it can change and how its numbers compare with Atomato.
Can Sidekick change my campaigns?
No. Sidekick only reads your Atomato campaigns. To create, edit, pause, end or delete a campaign, use the link Sidekick shares or open Atomato under Apps in your Shopify admin. To pause, end or delete one, see Pause, end, duplicate or delete a campaign.
Which campaigns can it see?
NotiFeed, NotiPop, NotiSell and NotiEmail campaigns, including NotiSMS signups, which are built as NotiEmail campaigns. Theme Launcher schedules are not included, so check those on the Campaigns page in Atomato.
Does Sidekick work on every plan?
Yes, Starter included. Sidekick can only report on the campaigns you have: NotiSell comes with Scale and Enterprise+, and NotiEmail and NotiSMS with Enterprise+. Legacy paid plans such as Grow and Pro keep them too. On Starter, Atomato records impressions and clicks only, so engagement rate there counts clicks alone. See pricing.
Why might Sidekick's numbers differ from Atomato's?
They are counted differently. The store summary always covers the last 7 days in UTC, today included, and its revenue only counts orders that include a product added to cart from NotiSell. For one campaign, impressions, clicks, both rates and add-to-carts are running totals, not totals for the dates you ask about. Of a single campaign's numbers, only NotiEmail submissions and signups follow your dates. A single campaign's impressions and clicks are also unique counts, while rankings and the store summary count every impression and click. To see a campaign over chosen dates, pick them on its Campaign summary page in Atomato, as shown in See how a campaign and each message performed.
Can Sidekick tell me who sees a message?
No. Sidekick doesn't get a message's customer segments or targeting rules. Check Customer Segments and Target visitors based on in the campaign editor.
What if two campaigns have similar names?
Use the full campaign name. When part of a name matches more than one campaign, the full name helps Sidekick pick the right one.
How are click-through and engagement rates worked out?
Click-through rate is clicks divided by impressions. Engagement rate adds hovers and dismissals to clicks, then divides by impressions. Ask Shopify Sidekick about your Atomato campaigns covers the rest.
Run your campaigns in Atomato, check on them in Sidekick.
Show targeted on-site messages alongside your popup, email and SMS tools, then ask Sidekick what is running and how it is doing.
