USE CASES
Six ways to grow your email list
Use NotiEmail for welcome offers, back-in-stock interest, launch waitlists, preference questions, SMS follow-up and a signup prompt for returning shoppers.
NOTIEMAIL
Collect the email. Learn something useful.
Collect an email and one useful answer in the same flow. Decide who sees it, choose the incentive, and sync the subscriber and response to your connected marketing platform.
CONSENT
Consent and where signups go
Shoppers see your Disclosure Language under the form's buttons. Atomato then sends the email address or phone number to the platform you picked, with the status below.
No consent or subscription status
Email signups join the list you pick in the campaign. SMS signups put the phone number on the profile and join the list you pick for SMS.
Subscribed
Sent as subscribed to the audience you pick, including contacts who had unsubscribed. SMS signups also get the SMS status subscribed and need an Email Opt-in step that uses Mailchimp.
Subscribed (email)
Email signups only. The email channel is set to subscribed with the signup time, and Omnisend's own welcome message is turned off.
No status
Email signups only. Atomato creates or updates the subscriber with the email address and custom fields, such as first name.
No platform receives your Disclosure Language. It is shown to shoppers only, so check how your platform treats contacts added without a consent status, and keep any record of the wording your rules call for. This isn't legal advice.
REPORTING
See what happens after each signup

BEST PRACTICES
Email capture best practices for Shopify
Seven practices for capturing email on a Shopify store, and the NotiEmail setting that does each one.
Ask when the shopper chooses
A signup form that waits until a shopper opens it reaches people who wanted to look. NotiEmail sits inside the Atomato feed behind the bell, so it never covers the page, and it works alongside any popup or form your store already runs.
Ask for one thing at a time
Each step asks for one thing, so the form is quick to finish on a phone as well as a desktop. NotiEmail asks for the email address first and, if you add NotiSMS, the phone number on the next step. A shopper who only wants email can skip the second step.
Give a reason to sign up
Say what the shopper gets, and give it on the spot. NotiEmail can show a discount code on the success step: one code for everyone, or a unique, single-use code for each signup from a Shopify discount you choose. At YES, 837 orders have used a code from the signup.
Ask one question first
A short question about fit, interests or what the shopper is shopping for makes the signup feel useful and tells you what to send next. Each NotiEmail campaign can open with one question, as a dropdown, multiple choice, buttons, radio choice or a text box.
Make consent clear
Show shoppers what they are agreeing to before they send their address. NotiEmail prints your Disclosure Language under the form's buttons, and each contact reaches your email platform with its consent status.
Send every signup where you already email
A signup is only useful once it is in the platform you send from. NotiEmail sends each contact to Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Omnisend or Drip, so it can go straight into your welcome flow. See the integrations.
Measure what the form brings in
Track signups, where shoppers drop off and which codes get used at checkout. NotiEmail reports all three. At Triquetra, 6,785 emails were captured in 180 days and 12.3 percent of the signup codes were redeemed.

FAQ
Questions merchants ask
What is email capture?
Email capture is how a store collects shoppers' email addresses, with their permission, so it can email them later. On Shopify, NotiEmail does it inside the Atomato feed, one step at a time, and sends each address to the email platform you already use.
What should an email capture form ask for?
As little as possible at each step. Start with the email address, add a phone number on a later step if you send SMS, and ask a question only when the answer changes what you send. In NotiEmail you choose which steps each campaign has.
Do I have to give up my popup to use this?
No. NotiEmail works inside the notification feed, so it runs alongside the popup, email and SMS tools you already use.
What happens to the contacts that are captured?
They go to the email platform you pick in the campaign: Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Omnisend or Drip. For Klaviyo and Mailchimp, you choose the list they land in. Omnisend and Drip get the contact without a list choice.
Are the discount codes unique to each shopper?
They can be. A campaign can use one shared code for everyone, or a unique, single-use code for each subscriber, so a code reposted on a coupon site works only once. Unique codes need an email step in the signup, and Enterprise+ includes them along with redemption reporting.
Can I ask more than one question?
Each campaign has one question step, and you can choose from five formats: dropdown, multiple choice, button choices, radio choice or text input.
What if a shopper doesn't finish the form?
Nothing is sent until the shopper completes or skips the last step before the success screen, so a shopper who leaves the form halfway isn't added to your list.
Does the form work on mobile?
Yes. Each step has its own screen, so the flow works on a phone instead of showing one long form.
Ready to show the right message to the right shopper?
Start showing targeted on-site messages without changing your marketing setup. Atomato works alongside the popup, email and SMS tools you already use.
Five-minute setup. No theme code or developer needed.
