Track NotiEmail signups and discount code redemptions

Read signups, the capture funnel, codes issued and redeemed, and the revenue and discount cost of NotiEmail codes.

The NotiEmail tab on the Analytics page shows the signups your NotiEmail and NotiSMS forms collected, the discount codes issued and redeemed, and the revenue from orders that used those codes.

Find your NotiEmail results

In Atomato, click Analytics in the sidebar, then the NotiEmail tab. The date button starts on Last 14 days. For the rest of the page, see Read the Analytics page in Atomato.

A NotiEmail campaign's summary page shows the same Capture funnel and Discount codes cards for that campaign.

NotiEmail results come from signups and codes, not the click and add to cart windows explained in How Atomato attributes revenue to your campaigns.

Signups and the capture funnel

The NotiEmail performance card counts signups:

  • Emails captured: completed signups that included an email address.
  • SMS captured: completed signups that included a phone number.
  • Capture rate: emails captured divided by the times your forms were shown.

A signup counts once your email or SMS platform accepts it. If the platform reports that the shopper is already subscribed, the signup isn't counted and no new code is created. The shopper still reaches the Success step, which shows the shared code, or their earlier unique code if one exists.

The Capture funnel card follows the forms step by step: Forms shown, Form opened, Email submitted and SMS submitted. Each rate compares a step with the one before it.

Unique codes and shared codes

Code results cover only forms with Add discount switched on in the Success step. Its Method decides what Atomato can track:

  • Unique coupons: each shopper who signs up with an email address gets their own single-use code. The codes appear in your Shopify discounts as Atomato - [CODE], with the same discount and end date as the discount you picked.
  • Single coupon: everyone gets the same code, which can't be tracked per campaign. Codes issued equals valid submissions, and Codes redeemed, revenue and Discount impact show dashes.

To see redemption results, switch the form to Unique coupons, which needs an Email Opt-in step. See Collect email and SMS signups in the feed. If you run both kinds, the totals count unique codes only.

Codes and discount impact

The Discount codes card shows Codes issued, as a share of valid submissions, and Codes redeemed, as a share of codes issued. When known, the subtitle adds the median time from issue to first order, based on up to 25 redeemed codes.

Under Discount impact:

  • Discount cost: the total discount on orders that used a code.
  • Net revenue: code revenue minus discount cost.
  • Average discount: discount cost divided by codes redeemed.
  • Revenue return: code revenue divided by discount cost, shown as a multiple.

Code revenue, shown as Revenue from codes on the NotiEmail performance card, is the full total of each order that used a code. Orders on that card counts redeemed unique codes.

On the Analytics page, a table lists each Capture form that gives a discount, with its Code type, Audience, Issued, Redeemed, Redemption rate, Revenue and Status.

How dates work for codes

Codes issued counts codes created in the selected dates. Codes redeemed counts those codes once used, even after the range. Revenue and discount figures count only orders placed in the range. So a code issued late in your range and used after it counts as redeemed, but its order adds to revenue only in a range covering both dates.

Only codes still active in Shopify count. Unique codes share the end date of the discount you picked, so they drop out once it passes. Deleting a form, switching off Add discount or moving to Single coupon also removes its earlier unique codes.

Signups, the funnel and Single coupon counts update every 6 hours (UTC). Unique code results are read from Shopify when you load the page.
