Read the Analytics page in Atomato

A tour of the Summary and feature tabs, date ranges, period comparisons and the cards that report clicks, carts and revenue.

The Analytics page in Atomato shows how your messages performed over the dates you choose, from impressions and clicks to attributed orders and revenue.

Open Analytics

Click Analytics in the sidebar, or View analytics on the home page's Performance card, which covers the last 7 days and appears once you have a campaign.

The header shows your plan and Updates every 6 hours (UTC). On Scale and above, Refresh analytics runs that update straight away, then counts down until you can use it again. See When Atomato analytics update.

Choose dates and compare periods

The page opens on Last 14 days. Click the date button, pick a preset from Yesterday to Last 180 days or choose a start and end date in the calendar, then click Apply. You can look back up to 180 days.

The green or red figure next to a number compares it with the period of the same length just before. It is left out when the earlier period has nothing to compare with. Days follow UTC, and attributed revenue is counted on the day of the click.

The Summary tab

Store and Atomato results holds the headline numbers:

  • Atomato revenue: revenue attributed to Atomato. A click on an Atomato message starts attribution, an add to cart must follow within that link's window (6 hours after a product, collection or search link, 3 hours after other store pages), and the order is matched later in the same browser. Links to other sites and custom-code buttons have no window, so their clicks are not attributed. See How Atomato attributes revenue.
  • Orders: orders matched to an Atomato click, plus orders where a NotiEmail code was redeemed.
  • Average order value and Conversion rate: attributed revenue per attributed order, and attributed orders per click.
  • Abandoned cart value: the value of items added to cart after a click that have no matched order yet. It can still become attributed revenue if the shopper checks out later.

Total store revenue shows all your store's sales from Shopify for the same dates. Attributed means an order followed a click under these rules, not proof that the message caused the sale. Hover over any label with a dotted underline to see how it is counted.

Hover a dotted label to see how Atomato counts it. Total store revenue is every sale, for comparison.

On Scale and above, the Engagement card counts impressions, clicks, hovers and dismissals across NotiFeed, NotiPop and NotiSell. See Atomato engagement metrics explained.

Performance over time charts the metric you pick under Metric. For impressions, clicks and hovers, switch between All users, Existing (shoppers signed in to a customer account) and New (everyone else).

Where the revenue came from splits attributed revenue between NotiSell, NotiFeed and NotiPop. Top performer is the message with the most attributed revenue, or for NotiSell the recommended product with the most revenue. The lighter bar is the previous period.

The feature tabs

The tabs next to Summary show one feature at a time for the same dates.

  • NotiFeed and NotiPop: revenue, average order value, clicks and engagements. Once there is attributed revenue, How revenue is counted splits it into Direct revenue, from the product the message linked to, and Assisted revenue, from other products added to cart in the same window. Scale and above add a funnel and Performance by message, which ranks messages by revenue per 1,000 impressions.
  • NotiSell (Scale and above): revenue, a Recommendation funnel, Basket impact and Product performance.
  • NotiEmail (Enterprise+): revenue from orders that used a capture code, emails and SMS captured, a Capture funnel and Discount codes.

What each plan shows

  • Free (shown as Starter on this page): impressions, clicks and attributed revenue. An upgrade prompt replaces the Engagement card, the NotiSell and NotiEmail tabs are locked, and Refresh analytics is greyed out with the tooltip Requires Scale plan or higher.
  • Scale: adds hovers, dismissals, engagement rates, funnels, per-message results, the NotiSell tab and Refresh analytics.
  • Enterprise+: everything in Scale, plus the NotiEmail tab.

Hovers and dismissals are only recorded while your store is on a paid plan, so after an upgrade they stay empty for earlier dates. See Atomato plans and pricing.
