See how a campaign and each message performed
Open a campaign's summary to see its results, compare its messages and look back at deleted versions.
Every NotiFeed, NotiPop, NotiSell and NotiEmail campaign has a Campaign summary page with its results for the dates you pick. For NotiFeed and NotiPop, it also ranks its messages by attributed revenue per 1,000 impressions.
Find a campaign's results
In Atomato, click Campaigns in the sidebar. The Manage campaign page lists your campaigns with a Revenue column. It is an all-time total, not tied to any dates, and shows -- while there is none. To see your top earners first, sort by Revenue, High to low.
| Event | Schedule | Status | Type | Settings |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Newsletter Signup | Jun 24 - onwards | Active | Notiemail | Edit |
| Bestseller Spotlight Items | Feb 20 - onwards | Active | Notisell | Edit |
| Weekend flash sale | Oct 03 - Oct 05 | Scheduled | Notipop | Edit |
| New arrivals | Dec 01 - onwards | Draft | Notifeed | Edit |
Select a campaign's name in the Event column to open its Campaign summary, with Campaign info and a Timeline at the top.
Pick dates and a message
Engagement numbers such as impressions and clicks update every 6 hours (UTC), while attributed orders and revenue can show sooner. On Scale and Enterprise+, Refresh analytics updates them now, then counts down before you can use it again.
The dates start on the day you created the campaign, shown as Since start. Open the date button to pick another range, such as Last 30 days, then click Apply. The calendar goes back 180 days.
Next to the dates, Summary shows all the campaign's messages together. If there is more than one message, each current one also gets a button, named after its title, that shows it alone.
Messages you removed while editing are listed under Deleted versions, so their results stay available. Summary includes them, but the Revenue column on Manage campaign counts current messages only, one reason the two can differ.
What each campaign type shows
- NotiFeed and NotiPop: Campaign performance summary, Performance by message and, once there is attributed activity, Revenue attribution summary. On Scale and Enterprise+, a NotiFeed funnel or NotiPop funnel follows shoppers from impression to order.
- NotiSell: Orders (once there are any), Revenue attribution summary, Campaign performance summary and Product performance. See Track NotiSell orders, revenue and basket impact.
- NotiEmail: Campaign performance summary, Capture funnel and Discount codes. See Track NotiEmail signups and discount code redemptions.
In Campaign performance summary, select a tile such as Clicks to chart it, and switch the chart between All users, Existing users (signed in to a customer account) and New users (not signed in). See What impressions, clicks, hovers and dismissals mean.
Performance by message
On NotiFeed and NotiPop campaigns, this table ranks each message with activity in your dates by Revenue / 1k, so a message shown more often doesn't rank higher just for that:
- Feed message (Pop message on NotiPop): the message title.
- Links to: where the message's button goes, such as a product, collection or page, or -- without a button. NotiPop shows Trigger instead, such as Time delay, or Multiple when exit intent or cart rules also apply.
- Audience: All visitors, or how many targeting rules and segments the message uses.
- Impressions, Clicks and Click rate.
- Orders and Revenue: attributed orders and revenue, counted by the date of the click that started them, not the order date.
- Revenue / 1k: attributed revenue per 1,000 impressions. It shows -- until the message reaches 1,000 impressions in your dates.
| Feed message | Links to | Impressions | Clicks | Revenue / 1k |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free shipping over $50 | /collections/sale | -- | ||
| Back in stock: Canvas Tote | /products/canvas-tote | -- |
Compare messages fairly
- Check the sample size. A message under 1,000 impressions is still ranked, so one early order can put it at the top.
- Check where each message links. Attribution starts with a click on the message. An add to cart must follow within 6 hours after a product, collection or search link, or 3 hours after another page on your store, and the order is matched later in the same browser. Messages without a button, and buttons that go to other websites or run custom code, show no attributed orders.
- Allow for recent clicks. Orders can come in after the click, so recent days can still grow.
- Compare like with like. Different audiences and triggers reach different shoppers, so a gap between messages doesn't prove one works better. Across campaigns, set the same dates on each summary.
