Set up Atomato for a team or agency

Atomato has no roles of its own: anyone who can open it in your Shopify admin can use every part your plan includes. The only extra check is Shopify's Manage app billing permission, which the Billing page and the first step of the setup guide need.

What each person can do

Anyone with access to Atomato can create, edit, pause and delete campaigns, change Settings and, on plans that include integrations, connect or disconnect them under Integrations. An integration page shows the saved API key in full to whoever opens it.

Atomato makes its changes in Shopify, such as creating discounts and publishing themes, with your store's own access rather than each person's staff permissions. So, depending on your plan, anyone who can open Atomato in your Shopify admin can create NotiSell discounts, schedule theme publishing with Theme Launcher, and add Custom CSS, Custom JavaScript and SVG code that runs for shoppers, even without Shopify staff permission for those areas. Give app access only to staff you trust with them.

Without Manage app billing, the Billing page and the setup guide's first step show Permission required instead. Other pages don't check it.

Give a teammate or agency access

The store owner gives each staff account, or the collaborator account an agency uses, access to Atomato in Shopify admin under Settings > Users. Add Manage app billing only for the people who choose or change the plan. The store owner always has it. The steps are in Fix "Permission required" for staff accounts.

To take access away, the store owner removes Atomato from that account in the same place. This doesn't change Atomato's email list, so if the person's address is in Email notifications, delete it there too.

See who last saved a campaign

Each person signs in to Atomato through their own Shopify account, so Atomato can put a first name on each campaign. It appears in the Admin column of the campaign list under Campaigns. Click a campaign's name to open its summary, where the same name appears under Campaign info, labelled Created by.

The name is the person who last saved the campaign in the editor. Each save replaces the name, while Create date stays the same. Pausing, starting or ending a campaign from its summary doesn't change it. A copy made with Duplicate as draft shows who duplicated it. If Shopify has no first name for the account, the name shows as Admin. If no name was saved at all, the list shows a dash and the summary shows Admin.

Keep the team informed by email

Add each teammate under Settings > Email notifications. The campaign emails you tick there go to every address that's turned on, as explained in Choose who gets Atomato email notifications.

Hand over a store you set up

Before an agency or freelancer steps away, write down what was built and move the account details to the client's team:

• How the bell is placed: as a Floating icon, or in the header with Choose bell placement, Add using CSS selector or Add using snippet. For the snippet, list the themes it's pasted in.
• The Custom CSS, copied into your notes with what each rule does. Style Atomato with custom CSS explains what it can reach.
• Campaigns whose button uses Custom JavaScript (optional), and NotiSell campaigns with Custom Function After Add to Cart, with the theme or app function each one calls.
• Scheduled campaigns and Theme Launcher schedules, since they go live or publish a theme on their own.
• Your agency's addresses in Email notifications, swapped for the client team's.
• Each platform connected under Integrations, and whose account its API key belongs to.
• Who holds Manage app billing and looks after the plan on Billing.

Once the client has everything, ask the store owner to remove your access if you no longer need it.
