Write campaign text with AI
Draft a campaign description from a few keywords with Generate text, pick a tone and keep the version you like.
Generate text writes a draft description for a campaign message from a few keywords you type. Pick a tone, click Generate, then keep the version you like or ask for another.
Where to find Generate text
Generate text sits at the left of the toolbar above every Description field. In the campaign editor, that means the Setup tab of NotiFeed, NotiPop and NotiSell messages, and each step of a NotiEmail or NotiSMS signup form. It works on every plan, in every campaign type your plan includes. If you haven't built a campaign yet, start with Create your first campaign.
The Title field above it is a plain text box without Generate text, so write titles yourself. They can be up to 120 characters, or 70 on NotiSell.
On paid plans, you'll also find Generate text on the description and disclosure fields under Settings > Translations. It works the same way there: it writes new text from the keywords you type. It doesn't see your original text, so it won't translate it for you. See Translate your campaigns.
Generate a description
- Click Generate text. A box headed Generate description opens.
- In Features and keywords, type the facts the message needs, such as the offer, the product and the dates. You have up to 120 characters.
- To change the tone, click Tone: Casual and choose another.
- Click Generate. The suggestion appears below your keywords, a word at a time.
- When the text stops appearing, click Keep to put it in the Description field, or Generate again for a new version.
Keep shows up with the first word, so if you click it early you keep only part of the suggestion.
Generate again replaces the suggestion on screen, and earlier versions aren't saved. If you like one, keep it before you try another.
Keep replaces everything already in the field and closes the box. Add links and bold text after you keep the text, not before.
If no suggestion appears, check that Features and keywords isn't empty and click Generate once more. The box doesn't show an error message when a request fails. If the spinner keeps turning and the buttons stay greyed out, the request failed: save any changes you want to keep, then reload the page to try again.
Choose a tone
The tone starts on Casual. The other choices are Warm, Friendly, Direct, Minimal and Light Playful. The button shows the tone you picked, and it stays set while you try new versions.
Whatever the tone, Generate text is set up to write short, conversational text rather than hard-sell copy. If a version doesn't sound like your store, try another tone or reword your keywords.
Tips for better results
Put every fact in your keywords. Generate text only sees the keywords you type and the tone you choose. It doesn't know your store, your products or your prices, so anything you leave out won't be in the message, and a detail it adds on its own may not be true.
- Read to the end. Suggestions are cut off at about 200 characters, so one can stop mid-sentence. Click Generate again or finish the sentence yourself.
- Check offers, dates and amounts before you save, then preview the campaign to see how it reads on your store. See Preview a campaign before it goes live.
- Write disclosure and consent lines yourself. The Disclosure Language field in the Email Opt-in and SMS Opt-in steps shows Generate text too, but that line should be the wording you have approved.
- Leave out personal details. Your keywords are sent to an outside AI provider to write the text, so don't type shopper names, email addresses or other personal information.
