Why isn't my campaign showing on my store?
Find out why a campaign isn't reaching shoppers: status, plan limits, customer segments and targeting rules.
A campaign reaches shoppers only when it is Active, your plan includes its type, and the shopper matches its audience and targeting rules. Work through these checks in order.
Know where each campaign type appears
NotiFeed, NotiSell and NotiEmail messages wait in the feed behind the notification bell. The feed lists NotiEmail first, then NotiSell, then NotiFeed.
NotiPop is the small, non-blocking message that appears on the page itself: at the top right or top left on desktop, and at the bottom on phones. Theme Launcher switches your theme and shows no message of its own.
If the bell itself is missing, start with Why isn't the notification bell showing on my store?
Check the campaign status
Click Campaigns in the Atomato menu and look at the Status column, or use the tabs above the list.
- Scheduled: the campaign goes live at its start time.
- Paused or Draft: the campaign is switched off.
- Completed: its end date has passed.
- Cancelled: it was stopped with End Early.
| Event | Schedule | Status | Type | Settings |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Newsletter Signup | Jun 24 - onwards | Active | Notiemail | Edit |
| Bestseller Spotlight Items | Feb 20 - onwards | Active | Notisell | Edit |
| Weekend flash sale | Oct 03 - Oct 05 | Scheduled | Notipop | Edit |
| New arrivals | Dec 01 - onwards | Draft | Notifeed | Edit |
To turn a message campaign on now, click its name to open the summary, click Start Campaign, then confirm with Start campaign. It becomes Active at once and runs continuously, with no end date.
Check your plan's limits
On the Free plan, which the app also calls Starter:
- Your store shows only the newest active NotiFeed campaign and the newest active NotiPop campaign, and only the first message in each.
- Saving or starting a second campaign of the same type opens Starter plan limit reached. Pausing the active one also frees the slot, because only Active campaigns count.
- The Schedule tab is locked, so campaigns run continuously.
NotiSell needs Scale or higher, and NotiEmail and NotiSMS need Enterprise+. On a lower plan, saving or starting one of these opens Upgrade required, and any that already exist aren't sent to your store.
When your plan changes, campaigns the new plan can't run are set to Draft. After you upgrade, start them again from Campaigns. Atomato plans and pricing lists what each plan includes.
Check who the campaign is for
In the campaign editor, check Customer Segments on the Setup tab (on NotiEmail, in the Feed step). Each message has its own settings, so check every one.
- All customers shows the campaign to every shopper.
- Visitors (not signed in) hides it from anyone signed in to a customer account, including you while testing.
- Customers (signed in), Specific customer segments and Specific customers only match signed-in shoppers, so guests never see the campaign.
Campaigns created from the SKIO integration also have Integration rules. They only show to signed-in customers whose SKIO data has synced and matches those rules.
Check the targeting rules
Under Target visitors based on, check each rule:
-
Page URL compares only the path, such as
/collections/sale, not the full web address. Capital letters don't matter. Is equal to needs the exact path, while Contains is more forgiving. -
UTM needs a key and a value, such as
utm_source=instagram, and only matches while the page address carries that parameter. - Device depends on the browser window's width when the page loads: 740 pixels or narrower counts as Mobile.
With all conditions selected, one rule that doesn't match hides the campaign. With any condition, one matching rule is enough.
Cart value, Cart items, Cart products and Exit Intent rules wait in the shopper's browser until they match. A NotiEmail campaign waiting on one of these rules currently never appears, so leave them off NotiEmail. See Why isn't my cart or exit-intent campaign triggering?
Still not showing?
Test in a private window, signed out, at the width you're targeting. Once a NotiPop has closed, or has been clicked, hovered over or touched, it doesn't show again in that browser. How to test Atomato on your store like a new shopper walks through it.
If a campaign still says Scheduled after its start time, or your browser console shows [Atomato] Notifeed error:, click Contact support on the Help & Support page in Atomato and include the campaign name.
