Fix integration connection errors
What each integration error means and how to fix it, from API keys to lists that disappeared.
Most integration errors mean an API key is incomplete, rejected or missing a permission, or that a saved list can no longer be found. Find your message below.
Errors when you connect
On a platform's Integration page, an empty field is flagged under it, and other errors show briefly at the bottom of the screen. In a NotiEmail campaign's Connect window, they show under the key field.
- API key is required: the key field is empty.
- Klaviyo's own error text, or Klaviyo request failed with a status number: Klaviyo turned the key down. Use a private API key, which starts with
pk_, with the scopes List · Read, List · Write and Profile · Write. - Invalid Mailchimp API key format: the end of the key is missing. Copy the whole key, including the part after the last dash.
- Invalid Mailchimp API key or Invalid Omnisend API key: the platform rejected the key. Create a new one.
- Omnisend API key needs Contacts · Write permission: create a new Omnisend key with that permission.
- Account ID is required, Drip Account ID is required or Invalid Drip API key or Account ID: check both values. Your account ID is the number in your Drip account's web address. The Connect Drip window shows every problem as API Key and Account ID are required., even when both fields are filled.
- Integrations are not available on your plan: integrations come with Enterprise+. See Atomato plans and pricing.
- Contacts · Write
- Tags · Write
For any other message, including Omnisend API key validation failed, check you copied the whole key and try again in a minute.
Errors when you choose a list
Only Klaviyo and Mailchimp use a list, picked in Email list or SMS audience.
- Klaviyo's own error text, Klaviyo lists request failed with status or Mailchimp audiences request failed with status: the saved key can no longer read your lists. Click Integrations in the sidebar, then Manage on the platform's card, paste a working key and click Update API key. The message clears after 3 seconds, even if the problem remains.
- A Klaviyo list is missing: the field loads only 10 lists, and partial names only match those. Type any other list's full name exactly.
- The list "…" is no longer available. Pick another list or reconnect the integration.: the list was deleted, or the saved key is for another account or can't read lists. The quotes hold the list's ID. Hover over Edit, choose Edit list (Edit audience for SMS) and pick another.
Errors when you save a campaign
When you click Save campaign, Atomato opens the step with the problem. Errors clear after 4 seconds, but the campaign won't save until you fix them.
- No platform chosen: the box around Choose an integration turns red, with no message. Pick a platform and connect it.
- Choose an email list before publishing this campaign.: pick a list in Email list.
- Choose an SMS audience before publishing this campaign.: pick one in SMS audience.
Signups aren't reaching your platform
- Click Integrations in the sidebar and check the platform still shows Connected. Disconnecting doesn't pause NotiEmail campaigns: they stay on your store, and every signup to that platform fails. Reconnect, or pause those campaigns. See Update or disconnect an integration.
- Check the key's access. When you connect, Atomato only checks that a Klaviyo key can read lists, so a key without Profile · Write connects but can't add anyone.
- Check your plan. On Free and Scale, NotiEmail campaigns don't show on your store.
- Sign up on your live store and look for the contact in your platform. Signups in the Store preview are simulated and never sent. See Preview a campaign before it goes live.
A failed signup shows the shopper no error: the form stays on the same step instead of moving to the success step.
