Update or disconnect an integration
Change an API key, switch lists or disconnect a tool, and see what happens to campaigns that use it.
You update an API key or disconnect a tool from its page under Integrations in Atomato. To change the list or tool that one NotiEmail campaign uses, edit that campaign's opt-in step instead.
Update an API key
- In Atomato, click Integrations in the sidebar, then click Manage on the tool.
- Paste the new key into the key field. For Drip, check that Drip Account ID is filled in too.
- Click Update API key. On the SKIO page, the button is Update.
For Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Omnisend and Drip, Atomato checks the new key with the tool before saving it. If the check fails, you see an error and the old key stays in use. SKIO keys are saved as entered, without a check. When the save works, you see Integration updated successfully.
Editing a field also brings up Shopify's save bar: Save does the same as the update button, and Discard undoes your edit. If the error mentions a permission or an invalid key, see Fix integration connection errors.
Change the list or tool for one campaign
- In Campaigns, open the NotiEmail campaign and click Edit campaign.
- On the Setup tab, select its Email Opt-in or SMS Opt-in step.
- Hover over Edit next to the connected tool.
- Choose Edit list to pick another list (Edit audience in the SMS step), or Change integration to pick another tool.
- Click Save campaign.
Edit list only appears for Klaviyo and Mailchimp, because Omnisend and Drip don't use lists. Either choice clears the current list or tool, so pick a new one before you save. If you pick a tool that isn't connected yet, Atomato asks for its API key first.
If you switch to a different account
A key from another account connects Atomato to that account instead. Lists from the old account can't be found there, so a campaign that still points to one shows a warning in its Email Opt-in or SMS Opt-in step: the list or audience is no longer available, and you should pick another or reconnect the integration. The campaign keeps running, but its signups can't be added to the missing list, and the shopper's form just stays on the same step.
After switching accounts, open every NotiEmail campaign that uses the tool, choose Edit list (or Edit audience) and pick one from the new account.
Disconnect an integration
- Go to Integrations and click Manage on the tool.
- Click Disconnect.
Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Omnisend and Drip disconnect as soon as you click, with no confirmation. SKIO asks first: click Disconnect again in the Disconnect SKIO window. Atomato removes everything saved on the page, including Drip's Account ID and SKIO's webhook token, and shows Integration disconnected successfully. To use the tool again, enter them again and connect as you did the first time.
Always use Disconnect. Clearing the key field and clicking Save also disconnects the tool, but SKIO campaigns are not moved to Draft that way.
What happens to campaigns that use it
- SKIO: NotiFeed and NotiPop campaigns built with SKIO, the ones listed under SKIO Campaigns, move to Draft. They stay in Draft after you reconnect: open each one and click Start Campaign, then confirm. To set SKIO up again, see Connect SKIO and show messages to subscribers.
- Email and SMS tools: NotiEmail campaigns that send signups to the tool keep running. New signups can't reach a disconnected tool, and the shopper sees no error: the form just stays on the same step. Pause those campaigns, or switch them to another tool, before you disconnect. See Pause, end, duplicate or delete a campaign. If you reconnect the same account, those campaigns send signups again.
See which campaigns use a tool
In Campaigns, a small logo next to a campaign's status marks each tool it uses. Hover over a logo to see which tool that is. The SKIO page also lists your SKIO campaigns under SKIO Campaigns. The other tools' pages don't list NotiEmail campaigns, so use the Campaigns list for those. For the full list of tools, see Which tools does Atomato integrate with?
