NotiFeed: a new on-site channel for shoppers

NotiFeed adds a bell to your store with a feed that shoppers open when they want updates. You can keep your popup and post drops, offers and products shoppers can add to cart.

Most Shopify stores already run a popup. That overlay is good at interrupting a moment, but it is a weaker place for shoppers to return to for restocks, drops, and offers they save for a later visit. NotiFeed is Atomato's storefront notification feed: a bell that shoppers choose to open when they want updates, with no need to replace the popup you already run.

What is NotiFeed?

NotiFeed is a shopper-facing feed that works alongside the on-site tools you already have in place. Merchants use it to run campaigns such as restocks, new drops, free-shipping progress, product cards, and email or SMS capture. Shoppers who want to can tap the bell, browse what interests them, and add a product straight from a card without opening the product page first.

Atomato is not an ESP. NotiFeed handles the on-site surface. Klaviyo, Omnisend, Mailchimp, and similar tools send the email and SMS later.

Think of the feed as a calm inbox on your storefront. The popup still does most of the interrupting. The feed holds the follow-ups that would feel noisy as a second overlay.

Why stores run a feed beside a popup

A popup asks for a shopper's attention at a single moment. A feed waits until the shopper is ready. That cuts down on launching a new overlay every time you have a message. Stores that do this generally use both: one blocking ask and one surface that shoppers open on their own. Our earlier post covers keeping the popup and adding a notification feed.

This matters most for returning customers. For instance, a shopper who already closed your welcome popup still needs a place for back-in-stock and newly added items. Another full-screen ad does little for their trust. A bell they have already learned to use gives them that place.

What the feed can do

Common campaigns include restock alerts with one-click add-to-cart, product recommendations based on page or cart context, free-shipping or free-gift progress, and list growth that doesn't need another full-screen interruption. For campaign structures that merchants reuse, see 10 on-site campaigns every Shopify store should run.

Product cards in the feed are managed by NotiSell. Email and SMS capture inside the feed use NotiEmail and NotiSMS so contacts can sync into the tools you already use.

You can also keep progress messaging in the feed while the cart drawer shows the same threshold. Shoppers who leave the product page can open the bell later and still see the free-shipping or free-gift threshold.

How shoppers use it

When shoppers arrive on the storefront, they see a bell icon that opens to a set of campaigns they can browse anonymously. Nothing appears on first view that shoppers have to opt out of, which makes the feed a good fit for moments when another popup would feel like noise.

Audience rules apply here too. First, show the restock message on that item's product and collection pages. Second, show progress offers to the carts closest to the threshold. Third, show list capture on pages where shoppers are already engaged, since Atomato doesn't read your email or SMS lists to see who is already on them. The basics are covered in How to decide who sees a campaign.

Measuring results

NotiFeed campaigns are deliberately designed to be measurable. You can track clicks on campaign messages and product cards and compare them with the orders that follow within a short attribution window. Views alone should not be credited with revenue. Atomato Analytics is built on that click model. For the window Atomato uses, see what the six-hour attribution window measures.

If a restock card gets clicks but too few add-to-carts, you can change the SKU or the message copy. If progress messages get clicks but orders lag, check the threshold and the complementary products you suggest next.

Who NotiFeed is for

NotiFeed is for Shopify merchants who invest time and resources in on-site messaging and want a second surface for it, without more popups showing at the same time. It helps most when restocks and similar updates need a home that shoppers can revisit on their own.
