Does Atomato support multiple languages and currencies?

Translate campaign copy into your store's languages on Scale and up. NotiSell prices follow each shopper's market.

Yes. On Scale and Enterprise+, you can give each NotiFeed, NotiPop, NotiSell and NotiEmail campaign its own text in each language you have added to your store in Shopify, and NotiSell shows product prices in the currency of the shopper's market.

How translations work

Atomato doesn't translate for you: you type each translation yourself, under Settings > Translations or with the Translate button at the top of a saved campaign. That button shows once your store has more than one language.

The language list comes from Shopify, so add the language there first, and publish it so shoppers can browse in it. Then choose the campaign type, the campaign and the language, type your text beside the original in the Reference column, and click Save.

Settings > Translations. Languages come from your Shopify store's published languages.

You can translate each message's title, description and button text, and the titles, descriptions, placeholders and button text of each NotiEmail step, including the SMS step. NotiFeed and NotiPop messages can also use a different image, emoji or button link per language. See Translate your campaigns for every step.

What shoppers see

Shoppers see the text for the language they are browsing in. Any field you leave empty shows your original text, so a partly translated message can mix two languages.

The Back button on an opened feed message has built-in wording in 21 languages besides English, such as French, German and Japanese. Other languages, and regional codes such as pt-BR, show it in English.

Some built-in labels always show in English, such as Variant, Subscription and One-time purchase in NotiSell's product dropdowns, and Select an option in a NotiEmail dropdown question.

Shoppers on your French pages see the French text. Anything left untranslated shows the original.

Prices and currencies

NotiSell gets each product's name, variants and price from Shopify for the shopper's country and language, so prices follow your Shopify Markets settings. If your store uses a regional language code such as pt-BR, check that NotiSell products load for shoppers browsing in it, and contact the Atomato team if they don't.

Prices show the currency symbol of the shopper's cart, then the amount to two decimals, such as €24.00. Every currency uses this format, even ones that usually show no decimals, and it ignores the currency format set in your Shopify admin.

With an Offer incentive set to Fixed amount, the number you enter comes off in the shopper's currency with no conversion: an offer of 5 takes €5 off for a shopper paying in euros. A Percentage discount takes the same share off in every currency. The offer's Title, which shoppers see in the cart and at checkout, isn't on the Translations page, so it reads the same in every language.

A NotiSell message, opened. Shoppers pick a variant and add to cart without leaving the page.

Plan needed

Translations are included on Scale, Enterprise+ and older paid plans. On Free (the app also calls it Starter), the Translations page shows Translations is not on your plan with an Upgrade button, and the Translate button is greyed out. NotiSell needs Scale or higher, and NotiEmail needs Enterprise+. See Change your plan.
